Family Pictures

My wonderful friend Jamie took some Family Pictures of us about a month ago. The pictures turned out Amazing ... these are some of my favorites.

Halloween

I guess it's time we added some pictures from Halloween. Hannah was Dorothy for Halloween and Abby was a Munchkin. I took Hannah and Abby to the Carnival at Carden Memorial School, and Hannah loved seeing all the costumes and playing games. She also loved going trick or treating at Daddy's work. I also loved braiding her hair. I had to slick down the top like I did in ballroom to keep it from looking crazy! We also couldn't resist trying on this Raggedy Ann costume because she loves Raggedy Ann.

Halloween Fun

For Family Home Evening tonight we had some Halloween fun and made this window jack-0-lantern. We got the idea from "Family Fun" Magazine and thought it would be a lot of fun to do. It turned out even better than we thought it would.

Hannah's Birthday Cake

We decided to make a cake ourselves this year for Hannah's birthday. It's hard to believe she is already 2 years old. This is kind of a step-by-step look at our cake making process.

We got a lot of ideas of the web but then created our own design. Inserting the Spires. Kendall and Kendra came early and helped us put the sprinkles on and decorate the spires. It was fun having them help out. We're almost done! Rebecca is just adding some grass (green coconut) around the edge of the castle and building a door and walkway. Our completed Snow White Princess Cake! All seven dwarfs are on here too - located in various places around the castle.

Below are a few more pictures at the party. The last three are some zoomed in pictures to see the figurines. We were really pleased with how it turned out and Hannah loved it so it was all worth it.

Abigail Kate Laws

Sorry we are so slow about updating you. Abigail Kate Laws was born on April 20, 2009 at 10:49am. She weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 19 inches in length (we think she was longer). Below you will find some pictures of her as well as our first family photo at the hospital. We are VERY excited to have Abigail as a beautiful addition to are family. She has grown a lot over the last 6 weeks.
So Adorable!

She has very pretty hair! Perhaps a strawberry-blond? If she's anything like her big sister she'll lose it and it will take 18 months to get it back.

Hannah sure loves her little sister, but she wasn't too sure about her at first. Poor Abigail still gets slapped by her every once in a while, but we are trying to teach her how to be gentle. There's only so much you can teach a 20 month old child. Look at their cute little fingers touching.

Our 1st family Photo!
Abigail is a little hidden and Hannah is looking down so I guess it won't be our last family picture. :)

Loving the Baby Calf

This baby calf was only a day old. It was kind of hidden in the brush but we were able to find it and get really close. Hannah was so excited to see it, she hugged and kissed it and wasn't very happy when we finally had to leave. I think we have a little farm girl on our hands.

"H"

Hannah learned last week which letter is "h". She'll sometimes point out the h in books we read, most the time it's an h but every once in a while its another letter she's pointing at. Now every time we ask her what letter her name starts with, she says "h", it's pretty cute.

Books

Hannah's favorite thing to do is read books. I don't know how many books we read a day, but she could just sit and read books for hours. She just studies the pictures and points at things. Her most recent favorite is "I Spy Christmas" that she got from my mom for Christmas. The first week we got it, we literally would spend a half hour at a time looking at all the pictures. She will walk around sometimes looking for it saying " I spy, I spy" which sounds more like "I pie, I pie". It's pretty cute. Anyway, she absolutely Loves books.

It's a girl!!!

We found out yesterday that we are having another girl. Hooray!!! More bows, flowers and pink. We are so excited to have another girl, I hope she's as much fun as Hannah is! I also hope Hannah doesn't become too jealous. I was holding my friends little baby yesterday, and Hannah didn't like that too much! Anyway, just thought we'd let you all know!

Update on our Life

Well, I guess it's time to let everyone know what's going on in our life, although most of you probably already know.

Kyle is still working for the City of South Jordan in the HR department and loves it. He's taking the Professional Human Resource test in December, and can't wait till it's over. We moved up to West Jordan in the beginning of September because we were tired of the commute between Provo and South Jordan. Now we live about 5 minutes from Kyle's work, and when it's a nice day, Kyle rides his bike to work. It's so nice to be so close to his work.

I'm home with Hannah and love every minute of it. It's so much fun to see her growing up. She is such a big tease and thinks she's a big girl. I'm also teaching a couple of Pre-Ballet classes on Tues mornings while my mom watches Hannah. It's fun to be able to teach a little bit. I've also taught a couple of private ballroom lessons this fall which I have really enjoyed.

Hannah is growing up too fast. She walks around everywhere just talking away. She also is not afraid of strangers at all. She will go to pretty much everyone, unless she's tired and grumpy, and usually would rather be with anyone but mom and dad.

We are also expecting another baby. I'm due on April 22nd, so about 5 1/2 months left. We find out what we're having on Nov. 19th...not very far away. We'll let everyone know when we find out what it is. We're really excited to have baby #2 come!!!

Well, I guess those are the main things going on in our life. We'll post some more pictures soon...(can't guarantee how quick soon means though).

Uh Oh! You caught me!

If there is an open box around, Hannah will be in it before long. She loves to climb in boxes even if they are too small. Sometimes she gets stuck but that never stops her from trying again (in the same box). This is her toy box and she's in it all the time.

At the Zoo

In August Mom and Hannah went to the zoo. Hannah loved the monkeys but we don't have any pictures with them. She just squealed and pointed at them.

Update on our lives...where we are...how we're doing...
And much more!

We have been extremely bad at updating our blog. We have hundreds of pictures of hannah and we just recently took family pictures so come back soon to see what we've been up to. We will try and be better at keeping this updated.

Somebody KNOWS she's funny!

It's about time we put something new on our blog huh? Enjoy this video!

Grandma Westover has this big blue phone that you can record your voice on and play it back. Grandma recorded herself saying, "Hello Hannah, I love you!" Hannah made this face every time it was played. Rebecca caught this much on her cell phone but she did it for ten minutes or so. Sorry there is no sound, but everyone laughed and I think that encouraged her to keep doing it.
